The Marriage Stone
by Josephine Darcy

Harry's fifth year at Hogwarts proved more eventful than the previous four combined. He faced down Death Eaters and their Dark Lord not once but three times — and the last confrontation proved the proverbial bullet the entire Wizarding World dodged. In the aftermath, nothing would be quite the same again.

The Marriage Stone picks up where the first four books leave off, taking the wizarding world in a direction J.K. Rowling never did. When an ancient magical artefact binds Harry Potter and Severus Snape together in a bond neither wanted, the two must navigate an uneasy coexistence — and, slowly, something more.

Written between 2007 and 2008 under the pseudonym Josephine Darcy, the story was first published on FanFiction.net on 9 April 2007 and quickly became a quiet classic of the Harry Potter fan fiction community. It remains, famously, unfinished — but beloved for what it is.

This ebook is a personal restoration. The archives where it once lived are mostly gone or behind a paywall. Some stories are too good to lose to the internet.
